I had my first real "jaunt" in photography back in April, 1997 when I took a solo trip to Scotland and Ireland. You can "take" the trip through my eyes by clicking on the image to the left. Within the four categories below are some of the better pictures I started taking in May, 1998 when I got my Canon EOS Elan 2. All shots were taken with a Canon 28-80mm and/or Quantaray 70-300mm lens covered by a UV filter (and in some cases with a polarzing filter as well). While I'll try to give more specifics for each shot, I haven't been very good (until recently) about taking logs. Update: In Dec. of 2004 I bought a Canon Digital Rebel with the standard lens. Then I also purchased a Canon 75-300 IS lens to replace the Quantary zoom. So all pictures from then on are digital. All photographs copyright © David Markowitz, 1998-2007 and may not be used without written permission.
