I've been a musician ever since I was about 9 (though I suppose you could say ever since I was born, since it's really a genetic thing). I've played all kinds of instruments: violin, viola, clarinet, sax, piano/keyboards, recorder, penny whistle, ocarina. These days though, I spend my time (when I get it) composing rather than performing. I'm working on an album (have been for a few years now), and some of the songs on this page are from that album. Unfortunately, it will probably be another few years before it's finished (unless I miraculously acquire loads of extra time). But once it's finished, I'll be making my own CDs and selling them! (unless I can find me a producer) All songs were written on my digital studio which currently consists of a Macintosh 8600/300, a Roland D-20, a Proteus 1, a Digitech DSP256XL, a Midiman Fineline, and Opcode's Vision as my sequencer. However, since audio files can be quite large, I chose new instruments for the songs (except Celtic Tune - this was written originally for the web for my Virtual Tour of Scotland and Ireland) from the Quicktime 3.0 library and saved them as midi files for your web listening pleasure. Since I used Quicktime 3, if you have an older version, the songs may sound a bit strange. But you can download Quicktime for free! Click on the button below to bring up your "jukebox". By clicking on the button, another window will pop up that will give you a selection of songs. You can even leave the window open with the music playing as you browse the rest of my site! |
