The Golden Arm is a short animation in production. It is a classic ghost story, often told by Mark Twain to audiences to demonstrate the concept of timing in storytelling. The animation will depict the story based upon the rendition in Maria Leach's ghost story compilation, The Thing At The Foot Of The Bed.
The Story (in brief): Man's wife, Elvira, has a solid gold arm which she loves dearly. She makes him promise to bury her with the arm when she dies. She dies. He keeps his promise...but not for long. Submitting to his greed, he retrieves the arm, only to be haunted by her wailing voice. She soon appears and, well, for the ending you'll just have to wait to see the animation. :)
Storyboards, concept art, and animatic have been completed, as has the modeling of all the characters and sets. Animation is well under way.
